I could not recall how many times i visited Sinhagad Fort. Every season, every occasion, Sinhagad fort was our first choice to  visit. Once upon a time we used to track this fort every Saturday.

Any way .. It is around 25 KM from pune. From June to Feb, this fort is good to visit. It is very scenic in rainy season and must visit for all luv birds :)

Route : There are lot .. best way to take Sinhagad Road ( very famous), once you take this road .. go straight .. you will reach to Khadakvasla Dam. I used to cover this spot in late evening . You Keep going until you reach to Y junction.. right one is go to Panshet Dam, straight will take you to Sinhagad fort. Once you reached the base of Sinhagad, you will get lots of option to go on top ( if you dont have your vehicle). The road to the top of the fort is steep and the condition of the road is not so good .. but believe me, this ride is very enjoyable and beautiful. Once you reach top .. its all your ..Its interesting to see Tanaji’s tomb, bungalows of Lokmanya Tilak and famous Marathi Poet G.D. Madgulkar, Dev Take giant tank with sweet and chilling water.

My advice : Don’t forget to take camera. If you are going with small kid, please keep some warm cloths and last don’t forget to  eat curd, Buttermilk, Kanda bahjji and Pithle- bhakari .. ( all my favorites) in fort ..
